I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Dr. Manning (Terry) by a colleague and I have learned so much from him. Initially my employer paid for injection training through a company in Colorado and not knowing any better I thought this was how I should be doing IA injections. I came to find out that what I was taught was completely wrong. The initial training I received is cranking out hundreds of providers each year, but they are not training them to do any of the injections properly. After just one lesson with Dr. Manning, I reviewed the training the videos provided from my initial course and the injections demonstrated by the instructor were not even in the joint. The cost of the two different trainings I took are comparable, but the value provided by Dr. Manning is 10x better. Dr. Manning teaches proper technique with the ultrasound, how to find the anatomical targets, and how to make sure you are in the correct location (actually in the joint space). He also provides indications for each of the injections. The initial training I attended did not provide us ANY indication as to which injection to do and when. Honestly it is shocking how many providers are being trained incorrectly, and within that it is not a stretch to be concerned about patient outcomes. Dr. Manning is by far a leader in the field and has so much knowledge and experience to share.
